Fast-rising Afrobeats singer, Ruger opens up on how a senior colleague, Davido Adeleke played a significant role in supporting his career even before he became a household name.
During a recent interview with Beat FM, Ruger shared insights into how Davido has been instrumental in advancing his career.
This discussion arose in response to a question about The Big Five once mentioned by the record label boss in an interview, which included Ruger.
He revealed that he crossed paths with Davido in 2020, before his rapid ascent to fame in 2021. Ruger added that the A-list artist has been providing substantial support for him for an extended period, including efforts to raise awareness about his music.
In his words,
"Davido is someone that has been supporting me right from the beginning of my career even before I came out in 2021. He met me in 2020; heard some of my songs and liked it. He has been creating awareness for my song even before I released my first song. Burna Boy has also supported in his way in O2 2021."
