Jadon Sancho will be replaced by a surprise name as Manchester United's highest-paid player if he leaves the club in January.
Sancho's future with United has been thrown into the air after a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag.
After being left out of the squad to play Arsenal before the international break, Sancho was criticised by the Dutchman.
Ten Hag said: "Jadon was [absent] on his performance on the training.
"We didn't select him. You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices on the frontline, so for this game, he wasn't selected."
Sancho then hit back with his own statement, which read: "Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
"I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!"
On the back of this incident, Sancho has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford. If he does leave the club, someone else will take over as United's top earner.
Currently, according to Spotrac, Sancho is the highest-paid player at United with a weekly wage of £350,000.
If the winger decides to continue his career elsewhere, he will be replaced at the top of the list by French defender Raphael Varane, who is reportedly earning £340,000 per week.
Midfielder Casemiro and forward Marcus Rashford are next on the list, with a weekly wage of £300,000.
Here are the top 10 highest-earning players at United according to Spotrac:
