Antony Accuser Withdraws Complaint Against Manchester United Star

One of the three women who had accused Manchester United star Antony of violent behavior has reportedly withdrawn her case against the footballer.

The 23-year-old Brazilian international has been accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, on four occasions, with investigations ongoing in Sao Paulo and Manchester. Antony has consistently denied any wrongdoing and has not faced arrest or charges.

Ingrid Lana, a 33-year-old banker, had previously alleged that Antony was aggressive toward her in October 2022, claiming that his actions could have had lethal consequences.

Rayssa de Freitas, a law student, had also claimed to require hospital treatment following an incident in May of the previous year when she was involved in an altercation with Antony and Mallu Ohana, the ex-wife of Brazilian player Dudu, inside Antony's Land Rover after they left a Sao Paulo nightclub.

However, according to The Telegraph, a third case related to an incident in a car in May 2022 has been withdrawn at the request of the alleged victim. The report initially filed with the Sao Paulo Civil Police has been fully retracted. It is believed that both women involved in the car incident had accused each other of sexual assault.

De Freitas reportedly left the car when it stopped at a traffic light and later required hospital treatment due to the altercation.

Antony, the Brazilian winger, is currently on paid leave from Manchester United, with his return date postponed until further notice as he faces these allegations. The club issued a statement on September 10th acknowledging the allegations and agreeing to Antony's delayed return to address the accusations.
