Mason Mount is moving closer to a Manchester United return after missing the last three Premier League games.
It was an encouraging sign to see Mason Mount return to Manchester United training ahead of the Bayern Munich game.
Mount was not quite ready to make the travelling squad, however, he is clear making significant progress as he amps up his return to action.
Manchester United's number seven has a real chance to be involved in the Premier League game away at Burnley. With a growing injury list and poor form, we need all the help we can get.
Mason Mount message
Mason Mount is excited to make his return to action. He sent out a message on Instagram expressing his excitement, writing, "Loved being back out there with the lads!"
Mount received a response from new Manchester United teammate Rasmus Hojlund, who offered some encouragement.
Two new signings yet to play together
Manchester United spent £55 million on Mason Mount in the summer and £64 million on Rasmus Hojlund, and have not yet been able to line up with the two players in the same team, heading into the sixth game of the season.
Hojlund missed the first three games, while Mount played the first two and has then been out injured.
Eventually the pair will get a chance to work together and try and put together the plan Erik ten Hag has intended all along. We just need to be a little more patient. Clearly the duo is looking forward to sharing a pitch together.
