Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire has opened up on why he did not leave the club this summer.
Maguire was heavily tipped to move on after he was stripped of the captaincy by manager, Erik ten Hag.
He has played only 23 minutes so far this season and had offers to leave Old Trafford.
However, no deal was reached and Maguire remained with United, despite slipping down the pecking order.
"We just didn't come to an agreement and they were happy for me to stay and I was happy to fight for my place.
"I want to do that and every time I train or play I will give everything. I know, at the moment, when I have not started a game in the first four games of the season, the story comes to me," Maguire, whose contract runs until 2025, said.
