Groups Accuse Security Operatives of Allowing Ex-Niger Delta Militants to Protest Near Court

ABUJA - Civil Society Organizations under the auspices of the Votes Must Count Initiative and African Emancipation Movement for Good Governance have accused the security operatives deployed to the Court of Appeal.in Abuja the venue of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) of giving some Niger Delta Ex- militants access to stage a solidarity protest in support of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu near the court.

Speaking on behalf of the groups the Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party in Edo State, Mr.Lucky Obiyan accused the security agents of bias for denying their group access to the premises of the court but allowing supporters of All Progressives Congress ( APC ) who were ex-militants from Niger delta region to protest at bullet House near the venue of the tribunal.

According to him" We have been at the street of Abuja to reawakening the consciousness of Nigeria people. Nigerians know who they voted for as a result of that today Presidential Election Petition Tribunal will be passing judgments, and the court sitting is ongoing.

It is important to inform Nigerians as we speak currently, an amorphous wing of All Progressives Congress in the capacity of a Niger Delta ex-militants has been given access close to the court while other political party supporters have been denied access close to the court.

He said they would reject any judgment that would not reflect the will of Nigerians.
