Ada took to TikTok to guide her followers through the process of obtaining a Nigerian passport via the NIS website.
Her video, which has garnered significant attention, highlights the ease and cost-effectiveness of applying online.
Before discovering the online application option, Ada reached out to an NIS office contact, who quoted her a fee of N45,000 for the passport.
Determined to explore other options, she decided to try her luck with the NIS website.
To her delight, the online application process not only simplified the procedure but also reduced the cost significantly.
Ada reported that she paid a total of N26,000 for her passport, with the entire transaction conducted online.
This substantial savings of N19,000 compared to the initial quote from the NIS office proved to be a compelling reason for her to opt for the online route.
For her passport processing location, Ada chose the NIS office in Calabar, Cross River state.
Following her successful online application on July 10, 2023, she was informed to collect her passport on August 23, 2023, after completing the necessary biometric capture.
