Furious Manchester United fans have slammed Erik ten Hag over his 'mistake' in signing Jonny Evans after the Red Devils' 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates.
Marcus Rashford fired United into a stunning first-half lead on Sunday, only for Arsenal to hit back instantly a minute later through Martin Odegaard.
Alejandro Garnacho, who came off the bench for United, was cruelly robbed of a potential late winner against Arsenal late due to controversial VAR intervention.
Goals from Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus in injury time then sealed a 3-1 comeback win for Arsenal, with Ten Hag's men dropping points again away from home.
United fans uninspired by Evans
Victor Lindelof was withdrawn late in the second half and replaced by Evans, who failed to win over many United fans with his performance against Arsenal.
Rice's strike also took a deflection off Evans before beating Andre Onana at the near post in injury time, which prompted fans to blast the United defender.
"Sorry, Jonny Evans should not be playing in 2023 for Man [United]," one fan said.

Someone else tweeted: "I still can't come to terms with how Jonny Evans is playing for Manchester United in 2023."
And a fourth commented: "No serious, ambitious football club does what we did with Jonny Evans."
A sixth posted: "We finished the match with Jonny Evans for crying out loud. At this point, Bailly looks like a new signing. Joke club."
Evans' return to United
Evans made his surprise return to Old Trafford in the summer after spending time with Ten Hag's men during the pre-season on a short-term basis.
The 35-year-old defender captured three Premier League titles, a Champions League and two League Cups during his first spell at United.
Evans went on to play for Leicester City and later became club captain, with the United player lifting an FA Cup during his spell with the Foxes.
United announced on deadline day that the former Leicester player had signed a one-year deal with the club until June 2024.
"I am delighted to join Manchester United, a place which has always felt like home," Evans told United's official website.
"This club and the fans have shaped me as a player and as a person since I was 15 years old, and I am delighted to be back where it all began as part of this talented squad.
"I've really enjoyed working under the manager and his coaching staff since the start of pre-season, and I'm looking forward to helping this group achieve success together at this fantastic football club."
