However, neither are currently favourites to sign him, according to reports emanating from Spanish Publication Football Espana.

Per Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano, Spanish club Sevilla appear to be in pole position to sign Ramos. The report further claims that the Andalusians are hoping to close the deal in the coming hours.

Earlier this summer, he was reported to have offered himself to the Andalusians, who now look to have taken him up on that. A deal could now be expedited.

Sevilla, who were Europa League champions in May, have endured a dismal beginning to the current LaLiga season, suffering defeats in all three of their opening matches and currently occupying the bottom position in the standings.

Ramos to return home

According to ESPN, Ramos hails from Camas, a town on the outskirts of Seville. As a young player, he began his career with Sevilla before making a significant move to Real Madrid in September 2005.

During his impressive 16-year tenure at Madrid, the Spaniard rose to become the club's captain and secured five LaLiga titles and four Champions League trophies.

One of his most iconic moments in the club's history was his pivotal goal in the 2014 Champions League final. However, in July 2021, he made a notable move to PSG on a free transfer.

Ramos reveals preferred destination

Sports Brief in a previous report stated that Sergio Ramos has revealed his preferred club following his exit from Paris Saint Germain.

Mundo Deportivo currently reports the defender is waiting on an offer from David Beckham's side, but in any instance an offer does not arrive, he might consider a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Though Ramos has reportedly also received some interest from domestic rivals LAFC, the defender is believed to prefer a move to Inter Miami, given the presence of his former teammates at the club already.
