Manchester City is ready to almost double Erling Haaland's wages, in a bid to stave off interest from Real Madrid, the Daily Star reports.
The Norwegian already earns £375,000-a-week, which makes him the joint highest earner at the Etihad alongside Kevin De Bruyne.
City, however, wants to offer him a new contract which would see him pick up £600,000-a-week.
Haaland's current deal runs until 2027 but the Premier League champions want the 23-year-old to extend it.
Apart from Madrid, City is also aware of the money on offer in Saudi Arabia, with Riyad Mahrez opting to leave the Treble winners for the Middle East this summer.
Haaland's new contract could see him enter football's top 10 earners list with an annual salary of £32.5m.
