UEFA has ruled that Saudi Arabian clubs cannot participate in any of its competitions.
This puts an end to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr, Sadio Mane, and others playing again in either the Champions League or Europa League while plying their trade in the Middle Eastern country.
According to Goal, UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has squashed rumours that clubs from the oil-rich nation can cross over.
"A media outlet talked about this without even asking us," Ceferin told L'Equipe.
"Only European clubs can participate in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League."
