Ansu Fati is reportedly set to earn almost TWICE as much as any other player at Brighton ahead of his proposed loan move from Barcelona.
The 20-year-old, who famously took Lionel Messi's iconic No.10 shirt following his departure, has fallen down the pecking order at Barca and is deemed surplus to requirements by Xavi.
Tottenham had been linked with the star winger, but Brighton have stolen a march on their Premier League counterparts as they close in on the signing ahead of the transfer deadline.
He's set to join the Seagulls on a season-long loan, having been impressed by Roberto De Zerbi.
And according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Brighton will pay 80 per cent of Fati's wage this season.
It has previously been reported that he earns around £200,000-a-week at Barca.
So, that means Brighton will pay him around £160,000-per-week, which is almost twice as much as any other player at the club.
Per Spotrac, Adam Lallana is the club's current highest earner. He's on £90,000-a-week ahead of captain Lewis Dunk, who earns a believed £80,000-a-week.
Pascal Gross picks up £60,000-a-week while Adam Webster and Danny Welbeck earn a reported £55,000-a-week.
Fati, meanwhile, graduated from Barca's famed youth academy before making his debut for the club in the 2019/20 season.
He's made 112 appearances for the Camp Nou outfit, scoring 12 goals in all competitions.
But he's set to spend a season away from Spain and ply his trade in England's top flight before returning to Barca, with there being no buy option in the contract.
