Man City close in on Matheus Nunes

Man City's first initial approach was rejected by Wolves prompting Nunes to stay away from training to push for the move.

According to reports from Daily Mail, a deal has been reached between both parties for the signing of Matheus Nunes.

The offer is worth £47.2 million, which includes a loan deal for Tommy Doyle of City, which comes with a $5 million buyout option.

Wolves backed down from their strong line as a result of City's readiness to abandon the agreement with them.

The Molineux club is now certain that the final agreement will be worth this much, and it was anticipated that things would move faster on Wednesday.

In the meantime, Wolves hopes to sign defender Santiago Bueno from Girona for £8.5 million, becoming their first cash signing of the summer.
