A fake travel agent has been arrested in Accra, Ghana, after orchestrating a fraudulent scheme that targeted individuals seeking relocation and job opportunities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The agent, whose identity is being withheld pending further investigations, was arrested after defrauding a group of hopeful travelers under the pretense of offering them job placements overseas.
According to reports, the imposter successfully convinced several Ghanaians of promising employment prospects in Dubai.
Victims were required to pay a substantial sum of money upfront, with the assurance that the agent would secure job positions and accommodation on their behalf.
