Like in 2014, rumors spread that she was looking to buy Turtle Island near Queensland for her eldest daughter, North.
It is worth noting that North was barely two at the time, and Kardashian planned to build her a theme park. Unfortunately, the deal didn't push through as the island was put on the market in 2016 for $4 million.

Could it be at her rumored Bahamas island? Roberts previously made the news for reportedly buying her very own paradise in the country although, as expected, no details, including the price, had been revealed about the transaction. With the Pretty Woman star's $250-million net worth, she can afford it anyway.
Shakira - The Bahamas, $16 Million

The 45-acre haven was believed to be untouched when he purchased it in 2006.
Located in the Exuma Island Chain, Cage had put it on the market for $7 million, two years since he bought it. Perhaps, he was trying to unload his ludicrous investments, just like the $150K-octopus and another $150K-Superman comic.
Eddie Murphy - Rooster Cay, $15 Million
Comedian Eddie Murphy is no stranger to owning private islands. He already had one when he decided to buy another 15 acres in The Bahamas in 2007. Brando fell in love with the place and paid $270K for the atoll with the promise to the Canadian owners that he would preserve the island. However, the actor created the Hotel Tetiaroa Village. After he died, his estate was sold to an architect for $2 million.

Richard Branson - Necker Island, $180K
In less than ten years after businessman Richard Branson founded Virgin Group in 1970, he was already able to purchase luxurious properties such as the Necker Island for $180K. Branson's property in the British Virgin Islands, which reopened in February 2021, is welcome to travelers seeking ultra-luxurious accommodation. Apart from Bali-style villas, it also has private pools. The whole place is reportedly running on 90% renewable energy from solar panels and wind turbines.

He spends his fortune buying properties, like this one found in Standfast Point on the island of Antigua.
Clapton purchased this paradise, spanning 45 acres, in 2000 for $14 million. He had it for lease for $50K a week, and the crazy amount could be because of the luxurious amenities like the two pools, covered terrace, and an entire staff ready to serve guests.
Colin Tennant, 3rd Baron Glenconner - Mustique, $120K
Third Baron Glenconner Colin Tennant suddenly died in 2010, shocking everyone after he left millions to his staff. At the time, it was still undeveloped so he tapped Arne Hasselqvist to reimagine the place.

However, reports claimed that the duo never started with the transformation. As per a July 2020 article, the property has been listed.
Larry Ellison - Lanai, $300 Million
It would seem that pouring $300 million for Lanai in Hawaii was worth it for billionaire Larry Ellison because he moved there in 2020 to make the best out of a difficult situation. He owns around 98 percent of the island after the massive purchase in 2012.
Even though it is one of the smallest islands in Hawaii, Lanai is home to some of the most immaculate beaches in the state. That said, it wasn't as developed and urbanized as the others, but Ellison wanted to change that, so he put up luxury hotels to cater to wealthy visitors.
Dean Kamen - North Dumpling, $2.5 Million
Segway Human Transporter creator Dean Kamen had a big dream when he purchased a portion of North Dumpling Island for $2.5 million in the '80s. Lenny Kravitz - Eleuthera, Price Undisclosed
With a Bahamian-American mother, it comes as no surprise that singer Lenny Kravitz chose to buy a property in the scenic Eleuthera in 1989. Although he grew up in New York, he would often visit the country when he was a child. He had nothing but praises for his homeland because he feels it's where his status doesn't matter.
In March 2020, he left his residence in Paris and had camped on this island for many months, cultivating his own food and living a simple life. A year before this, Kravitz brought his daughter, Big Little Lies star Zoë, to his place, and she learned about their culture.
John Lennon - Dorinish Island, $330K
Had Mark David Chapman spared The Beatles member John Lennon's life on that fateful day in 1980, the peace activist would have been staying at a retreat he planned to put up on Dorinish Island. His widow, Ono, confirmed that they were planning to build a cottage there where they could take the time off. However, it was sold in 1984 to a farmer who still uses the island for sheep-grazing. Around $50K of the amount went to an Irish orphanage.

So they bought a property on the secluded Fisher Island, which spans 200 acres and is a ferry boat ride to the city.
Fisher Island may be a relatively small town, but Kurkova sees the paradise as a place to relax and unwind. Plus, because she had just given birth to her third child, Luna Grace, this may be the perfect time to focus on the joy of motherhood in this town.
Ted Turner - St. Phillips Island, $4.9 Million
Media mogul Ted Turner is best known for founding CNN, but he is also widely popular in the world of conservationists. For instance, he bought St. Phillips Island in 1979 but made sure that nature was barely affected by the development.
Turner sold the 4,000-acre island to the state of South Carolina in 2017 for only $4.9 million, and the governor had since eyed this opportunity to boost tourism. Interested fans may even rent the media proprietor's abode.

In 2006, he spent $50 million on an island called Musha Cay in The Bahamas.
That seemed ages ago because the enclave has now been transformed into a luxurious resort that can be rented. Although Copperfield's paradise has at least five villas, guests can only book the whole island for around $37K per night. Guests can also see Harry Houdini's pool table.

Larry Page - Eustatia Island, Price Undisclosed
Being at the helm of Alphabet, Google's sister company, must have been hard. This might be Larry Page's reason for purchasing the private island of Eustatia in the British Virgin Islands. If that's not extravagant enough, his neighbor is no less than Richard Branson, Virgin Group's head.
It was said that after he quit his overwhelming job, Page headed to the island to lead a peaceful life. Plus, with 30 acres, it would take a long time before the tech genius could get bored. Moreover, rumors have it that he flies kites with Branson and sometimes goes island-hopping to the latter's base.

However, he ditched the plan after scoring a beautiful property in the nearby Lopez Island.
Allen listed the undeveloped island originally for $25 million in 2005 before eventually unloading it for only $8 million in 2013. Meanwhile, the unnamed buyer wanted to put up around ten to a dozen homes, although it's unclear if the plan had pushed through.
