Erik ten Hag had identified Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat as a potential incoming before the summer transfer window closes.

But according to The Guardian, United have now opened talks with Everton over a potential deal for Onana.

The report claims that Everton are 'reluctant' to sell Onana and are keen to keep the midfielder for another season.
