Former England international, Rio Ferdinand has named Manchester United and Arsenal as the two clubs that would challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.
Ferdinand believes Arsenal and Man United will go close to challenging Man City, but Pep Guardiola's side will still retain the Premier League title.
The new Premier League campaign will start on Friday, with champions Man City taking on Burnley.
"Manchester United and Arsenal, two challengers. If anyone is going to get close to them [Man City], it will be those two," Ferdinand told TNT Sports.
"I still think there is a difference between Manchester United and Manchester City: on the pitch and off the pitch.
"But I think Manchester United are going in the right direction. I think you can see how they have approached the transfer window, it has been very decisive and forthright.
"And I think Arsenal have done the same. They have recruited superbly well in this window. Three very good players who are not only going to improve the squad but the starting XI.
"They will go close this season but as for City, I don't think anyone is going to pip them to the title."
