A Nigerian man identified as Udeze 1 of Nnewi has ignited a storm of controversy by referring to Nigerian women as residing at the "bottom barrel" when it comes to relationships and marriage.

The conversation unfolded under a tweet posted by Mazi Uchenna Odu, wherein Odu advised Igbo men to approach court weddings with caution.

Udeze 1 of Nnewi engaged in the heated debate on Sunday, August 6, sharing his personal experience in his marriage to a South African lady.

Udeze's remarks have garnered widespread attention due to his assertion that Nigerian women, particularly Igbo women, occupy this "bottom barrel" status in the context of relationships and marriage.

"lolz I married a South African woman and I have been with her for 7 years so stop crying. You should know you Nigerian women especially Igbo women are bottom barrel when it comes to relationships and marriage; that is why you Igbo women hardly get married over here," Udeze commented in response to Odu's tweet.
