Lionel Messi extended his Inter Miami goal tally to five goals in three games on Wednesday night with another superb performance.
However, one moment in particular showed that whilst Messi remains clinical in front of goal, he still possess a selfless side to his game.
Miami beat Orlando City 3-1 to take them through to the last 16 of the Leagues Cup, with the Argentine scoring twice on the night.
His first goal in the game came after just seven minutes, a sumptuous chest and volley finish inside the area.
Orlando pulled one back through Cesar Araujo to ensure both sides went into the break level.
The start of the second half presented Messi with the opportunity to score a second as Miami were awarded a penalty.
However, instead of stepping up to the spot like he has done on 140 previous occasions, he opted to hand the ball to Josef Martinez.
The striker had yet been able to score since Messi's arrival but he took his chance this time and slotted in to give Miami the lead again.
Messi's teamwork was clear to see once again and fans on Twitter loved it, with one saying: "He's a GOAT because he understands that he needs his teammates more than he needs personal goal record."
"Imagine! Messi would have scored three but he allows his teammate to score. Only Messi," added another.
A third said: "If there's an award or stats for humility... Messi's got it infinity."
After the game, Martinez revealed to Apple TV Español he asked Messi before the penalty: "You don't want it?"
"No, you take it," the legend replied, with the striker then saying: "When there's a pen, you have to wait to see what the man says."
It wasn't the first time Messi has done such a class act, with Luis Suarez and Sergio Ramos others to have been handed the chance to take a penalty by him.
He wasn't done just yet though as in the final 20 minutes of the game, he scored his second and Miami's third to seal the victory.
The Floridian side had struggled without the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner prior to his move, but now increasingly look set for success with his magic in their ranks.
