Andre Onana's agent, Albert Botines has revealed that his client could have joined Chelsea or Tottenham from Inter Milan this summer transfer window.
Recall that Manchester United recently signed Onana from Inter Milan this summer.
Speaking to Italian outlet, CalcioMercato, Botines said that he had conversations with Tottenham and Chelsea over the signing of the former Ajax shot-stopper.
Botines said, "It all started a few months ago. Around April many people enquired about the player.
"Tottenham asked for information, Chelsea had a very strong interest.
"There were meetings in London and Chelsea had also met with Inter [Milan], but the figure of [Erik] Ten Hag was key."
Onana made his debut for Man United in their 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly tie a few days ago.
