Former PSG and Barcelona ace, Lionel Messi is currently having a great effect on his new side, Inter Miami in the MLS, after scoring a brace with one assist on his first start for the club.
Inter Miami won their second Leagues Cup game against Atlanta United by 4 goals to nil, with Messi having a hand in three of the goals scored. He opened scoring in the 8th minutes before adding the second goal in the 22nd minutes and in the 53rd minutes, he turned provider for Taylor, who doubled his tally having scored the third goal on the stroke of halftime.

This is the first time in Inter Miami's history, they had a three-goal lead at half-time. Further more, Lionel Messi has now scored 3 goals in two games for the club and the 36-year-old could go on to become Inter Miami's all time highest goalscorer.
The only player who holds the record us Gonzalo Higuain with 29 goals and he could also become the oldest goalscorer for the club, a record which was held by Federico Higuain(36 years, 11 months, 29 days.
