While you may be familiar with some prominent oil and gas barons from the country, there are several others who have silently built vast fortunes and empires.

Emeka Okwuosa

Emeka is the brain behind Oilserve Nigeria, one of Nigeria's leading providers of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance services for oil and gas facilities.

His company is celebrated for landmark projects like the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline System Phase II (ELPS II), the Obiafu/Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Transmission Pipeline System, and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline Project.

Gabriel Ogbechie

As the Founder and Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited, Ogbechie acquired shares in Eterna Oil Plc. This acquisition solidified his position as a major player in the oil and gas sector.

Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi

Azudialu-Obiejesi began his journey in the oil and gas sector when he founded Nestoil,  in the late 1980s.

He also sits as the Chairman of Neconde Energy Limited, an upstream oil and gas company that operates OML 42.

Winifred Akpani

Akpani entered Nigeria's oil and gas sector when she started supplying diesel to small establishments.

Today, her company, Northwest Petroleum & Gas Company boasts an impressive network of approximately 30 nozzle stations and substantial storage capacity.

Akpani went further to establish Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited, an indigenous exploration and production company with interests in several oil blocks in Nigeria.

Audrey Joe-Ezigbo

Audrey is another oil and gas baron who co-founded Falcon Corporation Limited, a company that manages the Ikorodu Natural Gas Distribution Franchise Zone under a 20-year concession agreement with the Nigerian Gas Company (NGC).
