A bizarre rule in the pre-season game between Arsenal and Manchester United has left fans baffled.

It has been revealed that despite the result of the tie in New Jersey a penalty shootout will take place at full-time.

According to the Telegraph, it was agreed between the two teams that it would be a good opportunity to practice penalties in front of a large crowd.

Both Erik ten Hag and Mikel Arteta regard it as part of their pre-season preparations.
