Chelsea's pre-season got off to a superb start on Thursday as they beat League Two newcomers Wrexham 5-0.
However, despite it being a friendly, Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino vented his anger towards the referee after a questionable call.
Chelsea headed into the summer off the back of a dismal Premier League campaign, with fans desperate for a return to success.
Pochettino has been the man chosen to lead their new era, but it didn't take long for his stars to get off and running.
Ian Maatsen, who has returned from a superb loan spell at Burnley, scored after just three minutes against Wrexham.
He doubled their lead three minutes before the break with a neat finish from the edge of the box.
Chelsea could have made it 3-0 moments later but the referee blew the whistle for half-time whilst they were on a promising break.
Pochettino was visibly fuming at the decision and he ran onto the pitch to have strong words with the official.
It appears he believed that his side could have extended their lead, with the referee blowing earlier than expected.
However, he soon calmed down and put his arm around him before heading into the dressing room.
It's not the first time Pochettino has exchanged angry words with referees after his side were put at a disadvantage.
During his time at Tottenham, he confronted Mike Dean after Burnley were incorrectly given a corner and scored from the resulting set-piece.
He repeatedly told the experienced official 'You know what you are', and was given a two-match touchline ban and £10,000 fine.
Luckily for Pochettino this time round, Chelsea were not hampered by the decision as they went on to finally score a third.
Conor Gallagher, who is of interest to rivals Tottenham, saw his shot deflect in as the match entered the final ten minutes.
Summer signing Christopher Nkunku got himself off the mark soon after as he rounded the keeper and slotted it home.
Ben Chilwell completed the scoring in stoppage time with the final kick of the game, a chip over the goalkeeper from Angelo's excellent through ball.
Chelsea will now face Brighton, Newcastle and Fulham in the Premier League Summer Series as they continue their United States tour.
