Everton have made a bid for Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga, worth between £15-20m, according to reports.
The Toffees tried to bring in the Sweden international on loan in January but couldn't get the deal over the line, but clearly are still very interested in his services.
The 21-year-old was involved in the first team last season under Erik ten Hag, making 26 appearances in all competitions, but he was no a regular in the starting XI.
Elanga made just five Premier League starts and one in United's Europa League campaign, largely having to make do with late run-outs from the substitutes' bench.
There remains great competition in the United front three from the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo, while the Red Devils are trying to buy a new striker this summer as well.
Elanga would certainly be more likely to get regular game time at Goodison Park, but Manchester United will now decide whether they want to sell a player who has been at the club since 2014.
Everton have aleady snapped up a former Manchester United player this summer, bringing in Ashley Young on a free transfer after his departure from Aston Villa.
The England international has signed a one-year deal at Goodison Park as Sean Dyche looks to improve on the squad which only narrowly avoided relegation last season.
