Guinness Records has now broken silence amid many attempts by Nigerians to break a world record.
In a post shared via their Twitter page, the management of the World Records reminded people attempting to break records to register their mission first before embarking on it.
Nigerians have been hustling to break a world record after Hilda Baci attempted a 100-hour cook-a-thon and succeeded.
"Polite reminder that you should probably have your world record title confirmed by our team before attempting it", Guinness wrote.
The message has stirred massive reactions from Nigerians who believed that the message was directed at them.
Akash said: "This message is for Nigerians."
Emperor wrote: "GWR trying to go thru the corners like we wouldn't notice."
Gabriella wrote: "This tweet is for my fellow Nigerians 🤣😂. Especially those in Ekiti and Ondo State."
Ichie Zeb said: "But some records in GWR were not confirmed or applied before they were set."
Ogbu added: "To whom it may concern: Nigerians! GWR will wake up and see tweets that someone is attempting to break one of their records, they will check their mail box and there's no exchange of mails btw them and the person."
