Veteran Nigerian actress, Ini Edo, has candidly expressed her regrets about her past marriage.
During a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the accomplished actress and film producer openly shared her feelings about walking down the aisle.
Ini Edo tied the knot with Philip Ehiagwina, an American-based businessman, on November 29, 2008. However, their marriage only lasted for five years, leading to their eventual divorce in 2013.
When asked about her regrets, Ini Edo acknowledged that marrying at that time was not the right decision.
"I regretted my decision to get married because it wasn't the right move to make," she confessed.
Nonetheless, she also expressed openness to giving marriage another chance "if the right person comes along."
In regard to her choice to pursue surrogacy for motherhood, Ini Edo shared her reasoning behind the decision.
"I chose surrogacy because I had experienced several miscarriages, and I simply got tired of trying.
"I don't have a husband, so I thought, why not have a child for myself, whether I have a husband or not? What other options do I have? And I wanted the child to be biologically mine. Thankfully, my eggs are viable, so I went ahead with it."
