Son Heung-min breaks silence on lucrative Saudi Arabia offer and vows to stay at Tottenham

Son Heung-min insists he will remain at Tottenham this summer despite a lucrative offer to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad.

The Saudi Pro League side have already recruited Karim Benzema this summer with N'Golo Kante expected to join him.

Son is the latest high profile player to be targeted, with Al Ittihad offering the 31-year-old a deal worth £25million-a-year.

Reports have suggested the Saudi club are preparing a £50million bid to tempt Tottenham into doing business but Spurs have no interest in selling the South Korea international this summer.

Son has now moved to end speculation over his future.

Speaking to reporters while on international duty with South Korea, Son said: 'I have many things to do in the Premier League.

'Money doesn't matter to me now, and the pride of playing football, to play in my favourite league is important. I'll prepare well when I'm back at Spurs.'

Son's comments will come as a huge boost for new Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou with the club also confident of holding onto Harry Kane this summer.

The striker has entered the final year of his contract in north London and is Manchester United's top transfer target with Erik ten Hag eager for him to lead his attack next season.

United have ended their interest for now, however, unwilling to meet Tottenham's demands for a player who could be available for free next year.

Spurs are eager to bring James Maddison to the club having tracked the Leicester City star for a number of years.

The Foxes have reportedly turned down a £50milliom bid for from Spurs for both Maddison and teammate Harvey Barnes.

Tottenham have also agreed terms with Brentford goalkeeper David Raya as they seek to bring in a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris.

They are yet to agree a fee with the Bees, however, with their London rivals demanding £40million for their no1.
