France captain, Kylian Mbappe, on Monday, made history after scoring in his side's Euro 2024 qualifiers against Greece.
Mbappe scored the only goal of the encounter as France defeated Greece 1-0 at the Stade de France.
His goal against Greece means the Paris Saint-Germain forward has now become France's best-ever overall goalscorer over a single season after netting his 54th strike, which is one more than the late great Just Fontaine's tally in 1958.
The 24-year-old converted his second penalty attempt to give France the victory over Greece.
The goal was also his 40th overall for the France national team in 70 caps.
The result means Les Bleus have won their first four Euro 2024 qualifiers and are firmly in the driving seat to book their ticket for the Germany-hosted European Championships.
