US-based Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi, has sparked reactions online after she shared a video of herself performing at a recent event.
Apparently the mother of two was invited to perform at what appeared to be a conference attended by middle-aged men and women.
In the video, Korra, dressed in a shimmery mini gown, took the stage, grabbed the microphone, and started performing her song.
However, the audience seemed lost and unable to connect with the performance.
At one point, she stepped down from the stage and showcased her signature twerk, but the audience simply watched without showing much interest.
Observant netizens have, however, suggested that the poor response from the audience could be attributed to the demographic of attendees.
Sharing her opinion, an Instagram follower wrote, "I think this is not the right crowd for ur genre of music... I think the organizers did not understand their type of crowd before hiring... Seeing a lot of aged ppl with sullen faces".
"This looks like someone made a mistake in the event planning. Who noticed that man on Black suit? Looks like he was casting and binding in his mind.Korra please have mercy", another user wrote
"Korras performance is for a younger crowd nau, who planned this event? Because Daddy's are trying so hard not to wipe her cord for neck". Another user added.
