EPL: Harry Kane creates new Premier League record

Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, on Saturday created a new Premier League record after scoring a goal in his side's 3-1 defeat to Brentford.

It was the 25th league game Kane has scored in this season, a feat no player has managed before.

Kane came into the Brentford clash on 27 goals from 36 games, the most in the division after only Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (36).

The England captain added one more to his tally by scoring in his 25th league game of the season.

The 29-year-old has now scored in almost 68% of his Premier League appearances this campaign.

Kane's record, however, could be shortlived, as Haaland could break it before the end of the season.

The Norway international has scored at least once in 23 league games this term. Haaland needs to score in all three of Manchester City's remaining Premier League games, to set a new milestone, provided Kane doesn't score any more this season.
