The Nigerian Police Force Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has strongly criticized the recent viral video showing a police officer opening a car door for Nigerian singer Spyro.
Mr. Adejobi denounced the officer's actions as unprofessional and ridiculous, vowing to take swift action to identify and address the situation.
The video, which quickly gained traction on social media platforms, depicted a uniformed police officer extending the courtesy of opening a car door for Spyro, seemingly at a public event.
While such an act might appear innocuous at first glance, the PPRO emphasized that it contradicts established protocols and is not reflective of the Nigerian Police Force's professional standards.
In response to the video, Mr. Adejobi wrote;
"This is indeed unprofessional and ridiculous. The video will be sent to relevant offices and units to fish him out. We will stop some deployments or attachments asap. U can imagine him (guess an inspector of police), moving with and opening the door for him.
Every man in life must have dignity and high esteem. Not only the policeman, but many people lose their dignity for unnecessary gains, projections, assumptions, and undue affluence just to gain something. Na wa oo"
