Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke has slammed Erik ten Hag for losing a total of nine games this season, saying that the sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a better record than the Dutchman.
Solskjaer's team lost eight Premier League matches in 2019/20, finishing third in the table, and went on to lose six games in 2020/21 as they finished second.
But with Ten Hag in charge, the Red Devils have so far fallen nine times to defeat, with the team currently fourth, although their position is under major threat from Liverpool.
Yorke has questioned if there has been progress at Old Trafford under the Dutch boss.
Although the Red Devils have won the Carabao Cup and qualified for the final of the FA Cup, where they face Manchester City in June, Yorke is not pleased with the results.
"Erik ten Hag losing nine games in the Premier League does raise some issues," the former striker told King Casino Bonus.
"Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a better record than Ten Hag in his full two seasons managing the club; people talk about the progress we've made and the better style of football being played.
"Ten Hag losing more Premier League games than Solskjaer in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons has to be called out. The results have not been good enough this season."
