Manchester United legend Gary Neville has said it would 'scare him to death' if Newcastle United adds Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar to their squad next season.
Fans of the Paris based club have consistently asked the Brazilian to leave the club, claiming he has not contributed enough to compare to the wages he receives at Parc des Princes,
The fans went as far as protesting at his residence last week, asking him to leave. He has been linked with a move to the Premier League with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle being touted as possible buyers.
The rumours about him joining Newcastle are stronger now with the club's Saudi owners keen on bringing in a superstar name.
The French Ligue1 champions signed the Brazilian from Barcelona in a world-record £200m move in 2017 and the 31-year-old has registered 118 goals and 77 assists across 173 games.
"That would scare me to death, that sort of signing," Neville said on his official podcast but warned the Premier League side against signing the former Barcelona ace.
"Neymar is a sensational player but Eddie Howe would have a sort of circus. Eddie Howe doesn't need a circus up here."
