Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has said that he would consider giving more playing time to the young players at the club.
The former England midfielder specifically mentioned the likes of Chinonso 'Noni' Madueke and Benoit Badiashile as young players who have earned their places in his team.
The Blues recorded their first victory under Frank Lampard since his return to the club as an interim manager, beating Bournemouth 3-1 away from Stamford Bridge.
Conor Gallagher put the visitors in front before the Cherries equalized through Matias Vina.
The West London side then scored twice through Badiashile and Joao Felix to earn themselves their first three points since Lampard took charge on an interim basis.
Asked if he would now consider giving more playing time to all the players who are 23 or younger who performed well during the game, the former England midfielder said,
"To a degree, yes. My role now is to try and give those players minutes.
"So if they're training well, there are other players that will be pushing those players as well. Noni's performance on Tuesday gets him in the team today even though he was not so well a couple of days ago. I think we all saw Benoit today and it's pretty clear he has a big talent."
