The reason behind Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo banning girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez from hosting parties has emerged.
The 5-time Ballon d'Or winner had stopped the Argentine model from hosting parties after an incident involving Lionel Messi and Barcelona in 2017.
Ronaldo, a football icon, and his girlfriend for seven years now, Georgina, live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with their five children.
SportsManor reports that one of the reasons Georgina was banned from hosting parties involved Messi and Barcelona back in their time in Spain, playing for Real Madrid.
On April 24, 2017, the day of El Clasico (Barcelona vs Real Madrid), Georgina, with only good intentions, decided to throw an after-party.
The model, according to the report, had fully expected that her partner Ronaldo and Real Madrid would come back home singing the victory song, but the reverse was the case as Messi netted two goals as Barca beat Real Madrid 3-2.
Unfortunately, Ronaldo failed to have an impact on the night as well, and the last thing the Portugal captain would have wanted was a party.
The report added that since then, Ronaldo had banned the Argentine-Spanish model from organizing parties due to a superstition that doing so may lead to future losses.
Despite the El Clasico loss, Ronaldo would have the last laugh over Lionel Messi and Barcelona as Real Madrid won the 2016-17 La Liga title with 93 points, three ahead of the Blaugrana.
