Manager Graham Potter's sacking is set to cost Chelsea a massive amount of money.
Chelsea announced their decision to sack Potter on Sunday night after the team's Premier League 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.
Potter, who arrived at Stamford Bridge in September, took charge of the Premier League giants for 31 games, winning 12, drawing 8 and losing 10.
The Englishman signed a five-year deal that was worth £12 million per year.
Therefore, the total cost of the contract was £60 million.
Chelsea needed to buy out the remainder of Potter's contract to sack him.
Considering Potter has already served half a year, the total procedure is set to cost close to £50 million.
Potter also brought a few backroom staff members with him to the west London club. Chelsea are expected to pay them off as well, meaning the expense could be well north of £60 million.
