Former Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly found out who prevented his return to Santiago Bernabeu despite the club's president Florentino Perez's approval.
According to El Nacional, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was the reason behind Ronaldo's return to Los Blancos not materializing on two occasions in the recent past.
Ronaldo left the Spanish La Liga champions back in 2018 as the club's all-time record goalscorer with 450 goals in 438 matches to join Juventus.
During Ronaldo's time in Spain, Real Madrid won three back-to-back UEFA Champions League trophies before his departure.
However, the Portugal captain eventually left Juventus in 2021 to re-joined Man United for a second spell.
After his relationship with Man United broke in 2022, Ronaldo wanted a return to Real Madrid and his then agent Jorge Mendes tried to make it happen, but Ancelotti reportedly denied the dream move.
The report added that Ronaldo, who had a strong relationship with Ancelotti between 2013 and 2015, considered it a betrayal as he ended up moving to Saudi Arabia to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr as a free agent.
