Richarlison and Cristian Romero threatened to leave Tottenham Hotspur if manager Antonio Conte had stayed at the club.
Tottenham recently parted ways with Conte by mutual consent.
This came after Conte had slammed at Tottenham players in the aftermath of their Premier League 3-3 draw with Southampton.
Conte branded Spurs players 'selfish' and accused them of not wanting to 'play under pressure'.
Signs of friction between Conte and the Tottenham squad were evident this month, with Richarlison openly criticising the Italian in the wake of their UEFA Champions League exit to AC Milan.
However, Argentine journalist, Gaston Edul, who has a close relationship with different Tottenham players, has now revealed that both Richarlison and Romero were weighing up their future at Spurs if the club's board had decided to keep Conte in place for the rest of the season.
"Conte's relationship with the squad was very bad, it is needless to say, it is something that we could see in his words," Edul told TyC Sports.
"Some players had given an ultimatum in case he [Conte] continued. Now the outlook of Tottenham has changed.
"Cristian Romero was rethinking about his stay at the club [Tottenham] if Conte remained.
"As I understand it, the same thing happened with Richarlison."
