Nigeria's Super Eagles have gotten a win over Guinea-Bissau after suffering a shock 1-0 defeat to the Djurtus in the first-leg of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Moses Simon converted a penalty kick which gave the Super Eagles a 1-0 win in the fiercely contested match at the Estadio 24 de Setembro in Bissau on Monday, March 27.
The result took the Nigerian national team back to the top of Group A with nine points, and they now have two more than Guinea-Bissau.
The Eagles will travel to Sierra Leone in June before hosting Sao Tome and Principe in their final game of the qualification series.
The top two in the group will book an automatic ticket for the upcoming AFCON billed for Ivory Coast in 2024.
