'He is very complete' - Kylian Mbappe hails Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani

France v Netherlands: Group B - UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifying Round

Kylian Mbappe has hailed the 'complete' Randal Kolo Muani amid growing interest from Manchester United and Liverpool in the forward.

The Eintracht Frankfurt striker made a strong case for becoming France's new regular no9 in Thursday's 4-0 thrashing of the Netherlands. While he did not get on the score sheet, he played a key role in Didier Deschamps' counter-attacking set up that put the Dutch to the sword.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a prolific campaign with Frankfurt, having struck 16 goals and provided 14 assists in 35 appearances this season with United and Liverpool expressing interest in his services having been impressed with his development in Germany.

Muani will have another opportunity to impress when France take on Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Monday night.

Deschamps remarked after the Netherlands victory that Muani deserved to get on the score sheet. Speaking ahead of the Ireland game, Mbappe said he will do his best to ensure that happens, hailing his teammates' qualities.

'He is a striker who offers different game options to our team,' Mbappe said.

'He is very complete and has an impressive volume of play. We are happy with the game he played on Friday and I hope he scores tomorrow. Tomorrow we will try to get him to score a goal.'

France Training Session and Press Conference

Last month, L'Equipe reported both United and Liverpool intend to sign Muani this summer with the striker keen on a move to the Premier League.

'We talk about it a lot already, but I try to be focused on my club,' Muani said. 'We continue our performances and we will see this summer. Afterwards, I always dreamed of playing in big clubs.'

Frankfurt however are looking for a fee of around £89m for the player, enough to make him one of the most expensive signings in Premier League history.
