Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has reportedly told the Red Devils' board to break the club transfer record to sign 29-year-striker Harry Kane.
Ten Hag has decided on Kane, who currently plays his club football at Tottenham Hotspur, as his number one target this summer transfer window, with Manchester United ready to break their transfer record to sign the England captain.
According to the Mirror UK, the former Ajax coach has decided that Kane is his first choice, and he has asked the Man United board to fund a club record move for the attacker.
The report added that Ten Hag feels Kane can have a 'Casemiro' effect on the Man United squad and that his arrival at Old Trafford would immediately take the team to the next level.
Man United's transfer record remains the £89 million they spent on midfielder Paul Pogba in 2016.
But Tottenham are expected to demand £100 million if Kane pushes to leave Spurs at the end of the season.
