Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has revealed why the club's boss Jurgen Klopp did not over-celebrate his side's incredible 7-0 win over rivals Manchester United in the Premier League at Anfield on Sunday.
Manchester United were beaten and humiliated by Jurgen Klopp's Reds on Sunday, meaning the Red Devils have conceded 21 goals in their last five league games against Liverpool.
Klopp is known for his trademark celebration of pumping his fists towards the Kop but the German did not do that on Sunday and Carragher revealed the reason why.
Carragher told Sky Sports:
"When you win by a shock scoreline it almost knocks off a bit of the celebration because Manchester United become the story more.
"Klopp didn't fist-pump the Kop as you'd expect because I think of the scoreline and it feels like you're rubbing it in, in some ways.
"It gives Liverpool a huge fillip in terms of getting in the top four."
