Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has insisted he didn't lose any sleep over Cristiano Ronaldo's exit.
Ronaldo's contract was ended by mutual consent in November.
The Portugal captain has since joined Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.
Ten Hag has now taken responsibility for Ronaldo's departure, following the 38-year-old's interview with Piers Morgan, in which he criticized the club.
"I had my reasons [for Ronaldo's exit]. They were obvious, and I also knew the consequences.
"It could have had a negative outcome. That is always possible in football.
"But I am not worrying. I sleep well also, even during those nights," Ten Hag said.
