Luis Enrique and Zinedine Zidane are both 'in the running' to become the new Chelsea head coach, according to reports.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter only arrived in September but is under massive pressure amid the Blues' horrific run of results.

The west London club - who have spent over £600m on players since the summer - have won just one game across their last 11 fixtures in all competitions.

Chelsea are currently 10th in the Premier League table, 14 points behind the top four following their 2-0 defeat to rivals Tottenham on Sunday.

They also suffered early exits from the domestic cups while in the Champions League they are 1-0 down to Borussia Dortmund after their first-leg last-16 tie.

Chelsea's hierarchy have repeatedly backed Potter despite a recent emergency meeting over the club's terrible form but they are now starting to have doubts.

Fans and pundits have called for the Blues to sack the Englishman, with ex-boss Jose Mourinho being backed to return for a third spell.

Enrique and Zidane are now the latest names to be linked to the Chelsea job and according to Spanish outlet Sport, both men are in contention to replace Potter.

Enrique was most recently the manager of the Spain national team and stepped down following their exit from the World Cup in Qatar in the last 16.

He managed Barcelona from 2014 to 2017, helping the Catalan club win two La Liga titles, the Champions League and three Copa del Rey trophies.

Zidane has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid in 2021 - where he led them to three Champions League titles and two La Liga trophies.

Both managers have also been linked with the Brazil job, although Enrique is now believed to be 'no longer on the shortlist'.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is reportedly monitoring Carlo Ancelotti instead.
