Nigerians are calling out Akin Alabi after Labour Party won in his polling unit despite his tweet stating that the party will not get up to 15 votes in his PU. Akin Alabi is the Lawmaker Representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency.
In July 2022, Professor Pat Utomi disclosed that Labour Party and a coalition were planning to have 15 agents at each polling unit. In reply, Alabi wrote: Labour Party will not get 15 votes in my polling unit at Ajiwogbo, Ward 4, Egbeda Local Government, Ibadan.
Twitter users then asked Akin Alabi why he was so concerned about the LP Presidential candidate. Reacting, Akin Alabi said: PDP is my concern politically. Labour is for online content.
Today, after votes were counted in Egbeda, Labour Party won with 33 votes. APC got 19 votes and PDP got 4 votes. Twitter users have now taken to the platform to remind Akin Alabi of his tweet.
