A woman was recently assaulted for voting for the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, at a polling unit in Lagos.
The incident reportedly took place at 30 Ishadare street, off Fafolu street, Onipanu, Lagos, today February 25.
It was gathered that thugs follow people to the voting area to ensure that they cast their ballots for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and anyone who casts his vote for a party other than the APC was allegedly chased away.
A video making rounds online shows the moment a woman was attacked for casting her vote for Labour Party at the said polling unit.
Fortunately, she managed to run away before the thugs could cause any major damage while other voters stood and watched the attack.
Some thugs were also captured wielding sticks that they seemingly plan to use to harm non-compliant voters in the video.
The person who filmed the incident wrote,
"Them don almost me stab me because of Obi. This shit ain't fair where I am.
They beat up a woman because she voted for Obi."
