Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has revealed that he would never 'doubt' his players.
Guardiola stated this before Man City's Premier League derby 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.
The former Barcelona boss expressed confidence that he would never doubt his players, adding that it was impossible for him to do so.
"Absolutely I am confident, I would never doubt [them]," Guardiola was quoted by Man City's official website as saying when asked whether he was expecting a reaction from his players following their Carabao Cup 2-0 defeat to Southampton a few days ago.
"Even if this season wouldn't be a success, I would never doubt the players.
"The fact that I tell them the truth doesn't mean I don't rely on them. After seeing what happened with the 4-0 against Chelsea in the FA Cup and then three days later losing to Southampton 2-0, unlucky because it could be a bigger margin, in both games, I will tell them the truth.
"But if you think I am going to doubt them? From one single result after being eliminated from the Carabao Cup, I will have doubts in these players? No way, that is impossible, but I have to tell them the truth."
