It is understood that the LaLiga giants triggered the Brazilian teenager's £51.6million release clause.

Endrick will remain with Palmeiras until 2024, where he will then link up with Real after he turns 18.

It has been claimed that the forward has agreed a deal until 2027 at the Bernabeu, with the option of a further three years.

A statement from Real read: "Real Madrid CF, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, Endrick and his family have reached an agreement whereby the player will be able to join Real Madrid when he comes of age in July 2024.

"Until then, Endrick will continue his training at the SE Palmeiras.

"The player will travel to Madrid in the coming days to visit our club's facilities."

Speaking to Palmeiras about the transfer, Endrick said: "I thank Palmeiras, the club of my heart, for offering me everything necessary to become what I am today, helping to achieve my dreams and respect my wishes and those of my family.

"Until I join Real Madrid, I will continue to dedicate myself as I have always dedicated myself to being able to offer Palmeiras even more on the pitch: more goals, more victories, more titles and even more joy for our fans."

Endrick is regarded as one of South America's hottest prospects having burst on the scene in 2022 to help his side win the Brazilian top-flight title.

The Brazil Under-16 youth international chipped in with three goals in seven first-team appearances.

He currently holds the record for being Palmeiras' youngest ever player and goalscorer.

While he is the second youngest person to score in the Brazilian Serie A.

The news will come as a huge blow to Chelsea, who had invited the youngster to their Cobham training ground base earlier this year.

And Barcelona boss Xavi publicly signalled his intentions to sign the player as he confirmed talks had taken place.

But it is Real that have once again landed the next Brazilian superstar after they snapped up Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo in 2018.

Real have made signing future world beaters a top priority in recent years, with Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni also brought in at young ages.
