A Twitter employee has lost his job after he engaged Elon Musk on the platform to express his disapproval.
Twitter founder Elon Musk had tweeted: "Btw, I'd like to apologize for Twitter being super slow in many countries. App is doing >1000 poorly batched RPCs just to render a home timeline!"
Twitter employee Eric Frohnhoefer replied to Musk's tweet, writing: "I have spent ~6yrs working on Twitter for Android and can say this is wrong."
Musk responded to him: "Then please correct me. What is the right number?
"Twitter is super slow on Android. What have you done to fix that?"
Twitter users warned Eric that was a fast way to loose his job but he updated his Twitter bio to write that he is "still @Twitter."
Hours later, Musk tweeted that Eric has been fired.
Eric later updated his Twitter bio to "formerly @Twitter."
However, it doesn't seem to be all bad news for Eric.
After Eric answered Musk's question about what he is doing to fix the issue, a Reddit employee reached out to him to let him know someone like him will be needed to work at Reddit.
